Position Title: Licensed Professional

Reports To: Administrator

Supervision: Qualified Mental Health Professional; Peer Recovery Supporter

Main Function: provides professional direction and coordination for designated area mental health programs in the service for Individual Counseling, Behavioral Health Assessment, and other approved services. Implement policies and procedures to assure regulatory compliance to all Federal and State Agencies rules and regulations.

Education/Experience:

-Is a Psychiatric Nurse, practicing Psychologist, Psychiatric Social Worker or:

-Graduate of a college or university with an advanced degree in a related human service field and having one years of supervised clinical experience in mental health services or:

-Graduate of a college or university with a Baccalaureate degree in a related human service field and having two years of supervised clinical experience in mental health services or:

-Graduate of a college or university with a Baccalaureate degree in a related human service field and having four years of supervised clinical experience in mental health services or:

The Clinical Director must meet one of the following licensed discipline categories:

-Physician or Psychiatrist

-Licensed Clinical Social Worker

-Licensed Psychologist (Doctorate Level)

-Licensed Psychological Associate

-Licensed Professional Counselor

-Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

-Mastered Degree Nurse – advanced practice only (NP, PNP’s, etc.)

-Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist

-Certified Clinical Supervisor


Position Responsibilities:

-Supervision of all non-medical direct care staff in the provider agency on your caseload.

-Implementation of the treatment protocols employed within the agency

-Ensuring appropriate assessments for all consumers served

-Implementation of best practice and emerging practice protocols

-Review of service quality

-Safety Coordinator

-Assure compliance to all applicable rules, regulations, and policy, including Federal and State Agency.

-Assure clinical policies and procedures provide the best means for direct care staff to carry out their responsibilities and achieve projected goals.

-Provides training, motivation, goal setting and supervision to nurse practitioner, therapist, and -counselors.

-Participates in CNR’s, Care Planning and other meeting as necessary.

-Makes on-site supervisory visits and complete required documentation.

Audits consumer records to ensure completeness, accuracy and regulatory compliance.
